read this vinyl guy

I'll be honest,....that's a pretty dang good deal,....$15.00 a lead? come on now. My first concern would be:

a. who's your account rep.

b. be cautious giving them your credit card information, because if they get it, they can just hit it each time they send you a lead, and if the leads turn out to be garbage, IF,...AND ONLY IF YOU'RE LUCKY, they'll credit you by sending you another lead. You'd have better luck hitting powerball then having those guys actually reimbursing your credit card.

c. make sure that they are real time leads, and not everyone elses leftovers, or even worse OLD leads.

Even though my company currently uses them, (and we're spending $40 a lead) we have in fact gotten a decent "roi" from them,...but just beware--they'll tell you anything you want to hear to get your business (AND YOUR CREDIT CARD ON FILE.

***try to get their promise of a full refund in writing to cover your a$$.

You have about a 50/50 shot at closing 1 lead out of 30.

I just signed up for reliable remodeler not to long ago. I have purchased two leads, the first one I got no response, the second one said she never gave anyone her info and that she never wanted an estimate. They credited me for the second one. Still evaluating them before I make my final opinion

I think they buy them from S/M. Whenever a lead stays in S/M for a few days without a response it goes to R/R. I wouldn't be suprised if S/M actually owns R/R. They are all going to be like that except 1 in 30. I got tired of trying to get the lead credit. I'm way to busy a guy to have to go through all that tracking and calling.

I took 40 for 400 from R/E. Only used 36 of them and after 1 year they said it was only valid for 1 year. No credit. I did not sell any of the 36 and prolly got two face to face meetings. I think most of them are old trash leads that they buy, but some have a notice that says they contacted customer and customer is ready to take bids.

my 2 cents worth on lead gen

don't forget the cheaper the lead, the older it is and probably very cold..
it may sound nice to buy a lead for 15 dollars, hoping to get the job.

Conduct your due diligence with different lead gen services, yeh some are ripoffs.. But there are some very few that are not big companies like Service Magic that do generate their own leads, and its not by automation..

Ask for free leads to try out.. if they tell u yeh here u go have some of these.. I would be cautious.. anybody in business don't give out freebees like this and stay in business.. my 2 cents worth....

Question I dont understand...

I've heard people say that ServiceMagic... sells the lead maybe 4 times and then Sells the lead to Reliable Re-modeler, to be sold again!?

Is this done without CALLING the homeowner? or is this done because no one replied through Servicemagic?!
