What I discovered is that most of these companies making these promises use "black hat" techniques that only work when you are paying their fees. Worse yet if those techniques are found out by Google you run the risk of being blacklisted. The way I decided to approach SEO is I hired a "coach" that is helping me redesign my website from the ground up so that it has a good SEO foundation that I can build on. The first thing we are doing is putting the site on a Wordpress blog. Wordpress is very easy to use and delivers professional results. I am just getting started with the SEO thing but am hoping to have my site revamped and live in the next 2 weeks. Good luck.

Why would you want to share the 'lead' with 4-5 others in a dog eat dog fight? And pay for that privilege?

DO your legwork and develop your site. The SEO is 'free', so to speak.

Re: Lead Company Issues

I couldn't C&P that sentence from your site. Which is a part of the image....When your text is part of the image, it's invisible to Google. Absolutely worthless for seo. Since G can't see it, I doubt it can be found if you did C&P it into the search box.

Re: Lead Company Issues

When I c&p'ed this, "Keever and associates" you did show up. But, how many new clients that don't know you by name will G that? You have to define the client you want and target that phrase.
Get a G webmaster account and use it. ( I have one I seldom use. So do what I say, not what I do, or don't do) Everytime I use it, my targetted, not general traffic picks up.

Re: Lead Company Issues

Take Festerized.

'Remodeller'
'framer'
'carpenter'
'remodeller in NJ'
'hire a custom builder in NJ'

Which searcher on G do you think will be his next client?

Re: Lead Company Issues

I just picked up two books today
Search engine optimization and Google adwords for dummies today
I spent the last 2 hrs reading Google adwords for dummies
I’m learning alot
I also did some of my own recon, every tried clicking on the "cached" at the bottom of the add
All relevant keywords show up highlighted
Last week I started changing my wording on my site to match long and short phrases
My main mission is to create keywords on my site that work with relevant adds and google adwords
I haven’t figured out how to verify my site and extend my root? For relevant adds
Ever since I launched my site about a year ago I get about 3 calls a week for search word optimization
Pricing anywhere from $1k. To 10k, with a monthly maintenance fee around $160.00
Just sounds like a scam to me
Does anyone know what happens if you fail to make your monthly payments
Do they shut your web site down??
Almost like yellow pages turning off your phone if you fail to make a payment

Yup. Sounds like a scam to me too. If you're talking about 'commercials' and google adwords, ads is spelt like this 'ad'.
You're on the right track. Optimization is just utilizing what you seem to already know. Natural traffic takes a while. Just keep plugging and do your own ads.

I bet the monthly fee is to pay G for the adword campaign. The $1k to $10 is for the Ferrari payments. Go for it. The guy really does need to keep up those payments. He can use the help.
