Homeimprovementexpo .com

I searched and didn't find a whole lot on these guys. I contacted them and they want 4500.00 for exclusive rights for 18 zip codes for a year. Is this a scam? Anyone use these guys at all?

Re: Homeimprovementexpo .com

Duane,
As far as Im concerned this company is the best kept secret. Ive been with them for a`round a year. I love the fact that all the leads I get are exclusive and real time. I started out with 10 and currently own over 60.
I have used all the other companies out there and have since dropped them all. I dont get the same volume but I have no complaints about the quality.
If you would like to speak to me give the guys over at expo a call and they will give you my cell

Best,
Steve Livingston

Hey John, what a coincidence I was thinking of having that for supper tonight along with a good shot of liquor to dull the senses, after which I will send this company a blank check, cause this is the answer to all my marketing needs.

Funny... the IP address connected to this "new" user account has another "old" user account a well. That old user account has also promoted this company in every post they have made. Hmmmm

After spending a lot of time at some domain forums, I can say this. When you have bought a 3-4 'word' domain, you have to REALLY promote it to ever see the light of day. Promote it anywhere and everywhere.

I just paid for a 2-word one that's been unavailable for years. We'll see what I can do with it.

Re: Homeimprovementexpo .com

Frank,

Did you buy it via auction, or did the previous registrant allow his ownership to lapse?

If auction or negotiation, how did that work out?

Re: Homeimprovementexpo .com

I signed up for Home Improvement Expo in Nov 08. I was told (over the phone, because they won't put anything in writing) that my zip codes were averaging 20+ leads a month. Now that I have signed up, I'm getting 0 to 1 leads. I do receieve 5 to 6 other leads, but they are not even from my zip codes. They are not even close to my location (100+ miles away).

I get nothing but the run around and lame excuses from the company. Looks like that money was a complete waste.

DON'T sign up with Home Improvement Expo!!!

If it got any funnier I'd have to choose a new brand of toilet tissue...

Re: Homeimprovementexpo .com

STAY AWAY, zip codes don't work, these guys set me up with the worst zip codes areas,
example= set up zip codes at the shore areas, under basment remolding, HELLO the is no basments in these areas
after 4 months with 0 calls, i called to compain,"well if u spend more money on zip codes we can get you more trafic"
WOW why invest more money into a company, and a idea, that just doen't work

I just found this. It was a lapse.

I cruise NP and DNF and will occasionally pick up something that's being let go real cheap.

Re: Homeimprovementexpo .com

I was thinking of trying them but thanks to contractor Talk, the talk is to walk the talk. They were calling me ten times a day and the young salesmen was trying to embarase me into laying out $ 4,000.00 for some zip codes. They are all talk and have nothing in writing and when I said I would come to their office to futher our conversation that didn't go over to good.

I'm emailing past clients, post carding them and news lettering them , also spoke to Seth from this site and when I have the funds will have him tune up my website

While it is possible to do things online in secrecy, when it comes to message forum spammers (i.e. - not hacked zombie computers), this will rarely be the case. The reasons:

1) Most spammers are clueless as to how the Internet really works.

2) Most spammers have high-speed access, often cable or DSL.

3) Whether the spammer's Internet Service Provider assigned them a static IP address or uses DHCP to allocate an IP address, more often than not the IP address doesn't change regularly. On top of that, cookies are also used as a means to scope out whether or not new accounts are created at locations whose IP addresses are already on logged.

Best way to look at how easy this is to spot -- imagine prank calling 911 emergency from your home phone a couple of times and thinking you can fool the dispatcher by changing your voice.

Re: Homeimprovementexpo .com

Owner went against my advice and signed up with them. Biggest rip off you can imagine- 1 year later 3 leads. DO NOT BELIEVE A WORD THEY SAY! also have given away zip codes people have already had to get a new account!

Re: Homeimprovementexpo .com

home Improvement expo.com scam
Stay as far away from Home Improvement expo.com as you can
When the salesman starts getting exited and starts using the word “kudos” hang up the phone
My one year contract with expired in October of 2009
7 phone calls
Out of those 7 calls 4 where test from company
Other 3 where carpenters looking for a job
Lost $2000.00 on that deal
