Well if you are targeting an area, canvassing is a 50 to 70 percent no period. Targeting customers when your doing a job with a job sign with three pages mailed to 30 neighbors address to them with names phone numbers and the whole bit helps. But they can not be sent at the same time hence the 1.32. One is to the customer. the second is getting there attension the third is letting them who you are and what you do and well how professional you are. Its a very long story and my wife will be home soon so i cant get into full detail. For some reason my stuff is being blocked or something not sure. Im giving solid advise and well someone does not like the way im wording it guess.

Hi MOTB,

I checked out Myonlinetoolbox and have been playing with it. I'm not sure if its something that would necessarily benefit me at the moment, but I like it, and I want to find a way to benefit from it.

I also noticed Andersen (window company) came out with an estimating program that was similar to MOTB. I checked it out quickly, but decided to play with MOTB. I worked at a privately owned lumber co. for a number of years, and have grown weary of Andersen. Bit of an overweight Gorilla in the Window biz, They played the game well with lumberyards, small contractors will get eaten by Andersen eventually. By the way, how come I can not use MOTB with Mozilla? why only Microsoft?

You seem to have an innovative knack, and I hope it continues. In my opinion, if you want to do something innovative in the online referal business, you need to have the customer shell out a fee to use the service. This will give the leads some credibility to those who purchase them.

Congrats on MOTB, Anything that makes the estimating, bidding, process easier, Im interested in. If you can bundle somethin into it, that helps generate more leads, more power to you. So far, the fees discussed to this point, would be way above what I think most smaller operators would pay.

I also think when customers use online referral services, it's the smaller operators, they are seeking

maybe I'm wrong, but....

Is this the same ole same ole where you purchase a zipcode (prices can differ from zip-to-zip as the total count for homeowners in each of these zipcodes will differ)

-and then they promise you all the leads exclusively for a year from each zipcode?

If so, RUN. And run quick.

THAT IS FREGG'N INSANE! 7.5% up to 10K? And you still have to do all the things a salesrep would do to get paid that much?

.

Not really. If you intend to grow your business you'll need to spend 10-15% on advertising. When you look at it that way 7.5% is very good.
