Calfinder. Starting To Piss Me Off!

Well I decided to sign up for one of the Lead generation sites and have not been having any luck. I signed up and have gotten 3 leads in 2 days. The first two were a couple of hours apart and were $2000-3000 jobs. Not to shady if I didn't have to recoup the $80 lead fee and the fact they were over 100 miles door to door. 4 hours of driving for an estimate I don't think so. Needless to say I got these refunded. Well I got confirmation on the first on waiting on the second.

Today I got a lead local and was excited. My mistake. I called the customer less than 10 min after I received the lead and the customer already had a signed contract and was price shopping trying to get the contractor to lower his price. I don't play that game and besides the lead was for concrete and a screen lanai. I haven't done lanais in over 2 years due to the hassel of pulling a permit. Pool cages and lanais are a total pain because of the code in florida. I have just chosen not to do them any more and save headache.

I was wanting to give calfinder a 6 month trial, however before I signed up I couldn't get the sales man to stop calling me and the first time I have a problem I receive a E-mail and no return phone call. I think I may be trapped and this is going to get ugly. I want to stick with it but my gut is telling me abandon ship. This is kind of bad since it is only the first week.

Same thing happened to me. They are a rip-off!!! I have never had poor quality of leads like this before. I got 3 leads right away from SO Cal which is 8 hours away (refunded). They overcharged me on the leads and I just found a double hit on my credit card from last month. They say they call all the people that inquire through them, but I talked to a few of the homeowners they sent my way and they said they never got a call from them. I cancelled after 45days, but the damage is done. Thinking about reporting the to consumer affairs.
Way over promise and deliver crap!

Re: Calfinder. Starting To Piss Me Off!

I am a painting contractor in Northern California, and at least for me they have really worked out well. Last year I spent $24000 and booked about $450,000 worth of work from them. I do get some bad leads and some times they take them back and some times they don't but over all they have kept me busy.
Give it a few more weeks maybe you got a bad batch.

Good luck.

Do they have any landscape construction ads? Any one try Renovations4u.com on the east coast, I have but received nothing yet. They claim that there are leads for big remodels in Jersey and Conn and up state NY any body out there that has used them or are thinking of it?
