Works Slow In Northwest Florida

Are there any other contractors in northwest florida (panhadle) that is experiencing a work slowdown. This time last year I could not get to all of the bids and this year I have not had a request in three weeks. I am still doing the same amount of advertising and soliciting but have not been able to round up any contracts. It seeems that all I hear from everybody is that with the increase in property taxes that the housing market has really taken a hit in florida.
