Re: Wood Floor Refinishing

Mr Guru,

the intention of my post was to break your balls.

being a flooring contractor myself for 12 years and being in the biz for over 17, i have come across many a difficult install and design..
to put it bluntly ,I know my biz.

I dont need to see this job.

a 1000 sf maple replacement is not a 30,000 job, no where, Not here in Metropolis and certainly not in alaska..(where Sara Palin, Moose and eskimos are you claim to fame and throw in a few beaver hats)

a 1million dollar home does not impress me considering we just finished work in an 8 million dollar home..

that job is a 5-6 day job max add 1- 2 days if you are cutting radius borders( i doubt it) and dont forget those 25 dollar flushmount vents

hey, if you really got that much, more power to you, but dont throw around that I dont rob insurance co's crap..

job value 15,000k and that pricing high.
competetive price 12k
cheap price 9-10 k

job will cost about 7k (not even)to do.. so you mark up 400% and call that honest?

Re: Wood Floor Refinishing

First...I already said it was my bad that I misunderstood your post. Take that as an apology.

Second...I was not trying to impress you with the Million dollar home, I was just trying to give you a better picture of the quality that was done

Third...I am not here to prove anything...so your opinion counts but not as an authorization to do the job...

Forth....there is way more about this job than the little details I gave you...I have no time during the day to give you all that, plus I never intended the post to carry on this way...I was not looking for confirmation...

Fifth...cut the attitude. I have been on this forum for years...I have never given someone a rash of crap attitude and I will not start now. Your opinion is not only appreciated, but also needed to make this site function as well as it can. But your attitude is going to stop.

So is this thread. Any further discussion can be sent to me via private message.

Thank you for your input.
