What is the average thickness of a finished floor?

This has been an issue for me. Usually when I'm about to rough in my pipes, I have no clue as to what the true finished floor thickness would be. I usually leave 1" extra. Any tips will be appreciated.

I would think you should be checking the blueprints, etc for the specific job since there are so many types of flooring.

unless you find your client visiting this site, you can never get the right answer. Ask them, they will be the only ones that know what floor they want (and it's thickness)

Cheers

There isn't one it is all relative to the type of structure being built.

It really doesn't matter, does it? Just cut the usual 5" holes and leave the fine tuning to the GC.

How long should your legs be?

Long enough to reach the floor.
