Water Under Vinyl

I have a question for you floor guys. I had a water leak underneath a vinyl floor. This is a fiberglass flooring product called Tarkett. Anyway the water left a stain on the backside of the flooring. Will this cause a problem down the road?

Fiber Floor is made to get wet and dry out. As far as stains on the backing , you will have to ask Tarkette

Asked Tarkette, they said it should be fine. However the ho won't stand for it. So it is going to cost me.

Re: Water Under Vinyl

it shouldn't. Fact is it will not show thru the top and will not ruin the integrity of the floor.
Therefore there is no problem.

I don't like dirt on the sole of my shoes either but Nike aint budging on my refund...

Well unfortunately the squeaky wheel gets the grease, and this is one wheel that will NOT stop squeaking, so she will get her $1000 dollar new floor and I will definitely be getting an end contract before I pay for this darn thing. Only made $400 on the job.

BINGO!!

I offered her $300. No good. I offered her a 6 mo. contract that if anything were to go wrong with the floor I would replace the whole thing. No Good. She called GC. He caved in. Whatever. If this is what it takes for this ho to go away. So be it.

Then he can foot the bill. If he will screw you once, and you accept it, it will only get bigger and go deeper the next time. Unfortunately in this business sometimes you have to demand respect before it is given. If the manufacturer will back it, in writing, then they'd be waiting for a balmy day in the Sahara to get any fre vinyl out of me. As the guy who taught me used to say... "The only things in life that I give away is dick and bubblegum.....just so happens I'm fresh out of bubblegum."

I understand the pressure to keep a good relationship with a GC...I really do. But. Think about this. If he's willing to **** ya....what kind of a relationship are you saving?
