Types of staplers for 3/4 solid and 3/8 engineered hardwood flooring? - Contractor Talk - Professional Construction and Remodeling Forum

I've been looking at both types of flooring staplers. Can you install 3/8 engineered with the Bostitch MIIIFS? I know the SENCO SLS20HF flooring stapler will install the engineered, but will the bigger Bostitch install both 3/4 solid goods and 3/8 engineered?

Nope, 5/8 and above for the big gun.

A 3/8" thick product works best by gluing it down. If you want to fasten it down, use a 1/4" narrow crown, 18 ga. stapler like the Spotnails gun I own. A big gun can cause you see dimples in the side joints because a 1/2" crown, 15 ga. fastener is way too much ammo for this product.
