Tile


what is the right way to lay tile on a new concret slab that is 3 month old can i apply thin set right to the concrete or do i have to put down cement board tile is 12 by 12

you can go right over the slab so long as you use a good mortar. don't cheap out on this step because good mortar or mortar mixed w/ keralastic [liquid latex] will flex a bit with your floor. seal, seal, seal, your grout. don't cheap out here either.

I would recomend a anti fracture membrane , to help prevent cracks. schluter or noble company - they both make sheet products, check there web sites. justin

roll or flat trowel a thin coat of RedGuard over the slab

mix some Flex Bond thin-set

set your tile

grout

clean

seal

be happy
