Thinset/Taping Question
Doing my first ceramic tile job in a small bathroom. I got the cement backerboard secured and most of the joints taped but ran out of Thinset to do the other 4 joints. They are each about 3-4 feet long. It was an 11 hour day and I didn't have it in me to mix up more Thinset. I really wanted to start tiling tomorrow. I'm just wondering if I can get away with taping first thing in the morning and start setting tile by noon or so.
Thanks for any imput. |

Re: Thinset/Taping Question
I tape as I lay, so I don't have any chance of the tile rocking and lipping up from built up thinset, do the same for floors and walls. There will be no problems doing it the way you described.

Re: Thinset/Taping Question
I also tape while I lay the tile. It is much more efficient and there are no speed bumps.
