good to hear you just got the new stapler... in the long run your time is money and all the extra junk you would wind up doing doesn't outweigh the ~$200 investment for a new tool. but some of the guys who know me would probably say that i was just trying to get you to buy another tool b/c i am a tool addict.

if you may have issues with a substandard or squeeky subfloor, glue it down. I can totally vouch for a glue down applicatoin of engineered flooring in an older home (mine)-never a squeek and the floor is uneven (comes with old houses). On a side note, I've made my own thresholds a few times to overcome the crappy selection at the suppy house...of course you've got to have the tools to do so.

I have the same addiction..even my garage has an annex in order to store tools I have..thanks again....
