Sos!!! Need Help!!! Did Dura Ceramic Make You Sick???

Has anyone every experieced dizzyness and/or grand mal like seizures during and after installing dura ceramic time with the ds100 Dura set adhesive???

My husband installed a small area, about 10 x10 feet and had a massive seizure. He may have injested a trace amount from his sandwich which he ate while waiting for the adhesive to dry. He definately inhaled lots of the fumes as ventalation was poor.

So far everything points in the direction of the glue. Has anyone ever heard or had this happen to them??? He had two major grand mal like seizures and tons of little ones. The hospital is at a loss.

Any one with any info, I would greatly appreciate hearing from you.

Amy

Amy, I am sorry to hear about what you and your family must be going through right now. Godspeed on a full recovery.

I have installed nearly 10,000 ft of this product in all kinds of ventilation environments. The adhesive is an acrylic, water based product. I am sure Congoleum will provide an MSDS sheet to you.

We've installed a lot of DuraStone which used that same adhesive with no issues. They've since switch to DC1001 which is DuraCeramic adhesive for this product as well. Not sure why you had the DS100 adhesive to begin with, but since they have eliminated that adhesive, perhaps there were issues with it. I haven't heard of any health related problems though.
