Shock Absorbing Carpet

I need some help find a manufacturer/vendor for shock absorbing carpet. I've been able to find two SafeLandings and Fibar but have not been able to locate any other manufacturers.

The project is an ARRA project for the government and we are held to the Buy American Act on this.

If you all know of any other sources please let me know. Thanks.

Stainmaster carpets have carbon cores in the fibers.
should do the trick.

Re: Shock Absorbing Carpet

The project is a day care / preschool in the activity areas. We have about 19 rooms that have to have the material in it about 1000 square yards.

The carpet has to meet the following specifications (probable would've help had I posted this before)

Meet CPSC Guidelines
Meet ASTM F 1292 and ASTM F 2373 at 3' critical fall height
Meet ABA requirements
Impact-absorbing mat/padding
Contains Anti-microbial properties
Integrated moisture barrier

Re: Shock Absorbing Carpet

So I take it no one really knows much about this type of carpet?

We've done some more searching and have found some similar type products but nothing that matches our specifications.

Looks like carpet does not matter, underlayment should be shock(impact) absorbing.
Why don't you ask to PM. for more info?

Re: Shock Absorbing Carpet

I am familar with SafeLandings & Fibar. I've poked around a little and haven't been able to come up with anything else. Archy I talked to said he was not aware of any other products to meet these specs.
