Shaw Installations

I was contacted today by shaw industries to install carpet and laminate for some of their national accounts. I didn't know that shaw was involved with installations. I had them fax me the paperwork and it is on shaw industries letter head. I was wondering if any of you have ever worked for shaw before and if so how were they to work for and more importantly did the checks come in on time?

Re: Shaw Installations

I've never heard of them doing this either. They do sell product directly sometimes, which annoys me as well since they are willing to steal the sales from me even though they are making the money either way. I've always known them to pass the work on to their local favorites though.

Didnt they foray into retail about ten years ago only to find out its not the cash cow they thought?

I guess when your that big you can thumb your nose at the retailers that got you to where you are today

Re: Shaw Installations

I have been contacted by all the big three and then some smaller mills as well.

They were all defective material replacements, and were not willing to meet on a fair price. They found someone else to get it done, though here in the land of the illegal immigrant.
