Sealing 12" limestone tiles in kitchen install

Doing a remodel of a kitchen. The homeowner picked out a 12" cut natural limestone tile, very light color and it needs sealing. I played with a few leftover tiles and sealing a couple with typical sealers from HD, 3 different kind, and then did my own red wine test. They all allowed stain!! The sales rep said boiled linseed oil, anyone have a suggestion???? Jeff

I like one from Stone Tech called Bullet Proof.

However, don't get your hopes up, after all you are talking about red wine and limestone. I'm guessing you're talking about travertine afterall!

Go to the following...sorry but I am not allowed to post a URL.....Even though I am a Moderator on the LARGEST TILE FORUM ON THE FREAKING PLANET!!!

Go to stonetechpro.com Look for knowledge base click
go down to search and type in limestone

look and you will find 2 articles
1 on honed unpolished and 1 on polished

these are start to finish and include sealing instructions.

If you are not using either Stone Tech or Aquamix sealing products, WHY NOT.........every other pro is!!!
