Sealant for tile floors.

I want to seal my tile that has just been installed. Is that something that can be done to keep out dirt? I heard of sealing grout, but can the whole tile be sealed? If so what product and what applicator? I am a paint contractor so if you need any paint advice I am hanging around that forum everyday when time permits. Thanks.

wait a bit after install, day or two
and pour some sealer on sponge and give it a good uniform swipe down
some tile dont even accept sealer, i.e. glazed porcelains
Most ceramic/porcelain are glazed
It's the grout you have to worry about, and should always be sealed with silicone based sealer.
Stone tile should be sealed with a penetrating sealer.

TileLab makes a good product and can be picked up at home depot.

Like Matt says, most tile doesn't need sealer. The kind that does usually needs it before grout.
