Saw Blade Size
This may be an uneducated question, so humor me.
Are their any pro's and cons to using an 8" blade on a 10" saw as long as it will still reach the tile to cut clear through? |

Re: Saw Blade Size
Theres nothing wrong with it at all. I actually use 7 1/4" Circular saw blades in my 10" table saw. It really saves a lot of money and i like it better because it has a small kerf. So its basically the same thing with the tile saw. Doesnt work in chop saw / miter saws.

Re: Saw Blade Size
A 10" blade will cut faster at the same RPM due to a higher blade surface speed.
An 8" blade has a circumference of about 25". At 1750 RPM the cutting surface moves about 3,650 ft. With a 10" (31.5 c) at the same speed exposes about 4,600 ft., about a 20% increase in productivity.

Re: Saw Blade Size
Will it also reach the reservoir? (I assume we're discussing a wet saw?)
