Roofing Felt For Garage Floor Tile Underlayment

Hey Guys
I need to install Racedeck flooring (12x12 plastic interlocking floating tiles) on a garage floor. I'd like to use an underlayment to avoid some of the clacking noises heard while walking on it. Does anyone know whether the roofing felt will hold up considering that the garage floor will get wet (as will the roofing felt) over time? Thanks for the help!
Jim

Jim, you might also consider an .045 or .060 rubber membrane instead, either loose laid or fully adhered. This would provide additional sound deadening, not to mention a slight cushion feeling as well.

Thanks roofpro, thats a great idea -I'll check pricing. Do you think the roofing felt would cause any problems in a wet garage floor setting?

how about Schluter-DITRA - it's used in ceramic tile installs, is a little pricy but a great product. Not sure about the tile floating on top of it-contact the manufacturer to see if it's ok. If this is YOUR garage, you could chance it with the cheap stuff...or try the good stuff.
