Removing Hardwood For Tile

I am tiling a bathroom with existing hardwood floors. I am installing a marble threshold at the door. Do they make a Threshold to cover the hardwood I have to cut. Where do you recommend cutting the hardwood ( middle of door, even whith edge of jamb????). What should I cut the floor with to make a fine cut inside the door way? Is there going to be a gap between the hardwood and the threshold? Thanks

Are you removing the hardwood floors?
What's the substrate?
Better yet, what's the deflection of the floor?

Why are you needing a threshold? What's the covering of the adjacent room?

Re: Removing Hardwood For Tile

cut the wood with a skilsaw... use a tmold that matches the wood... I generally transit the floor to not show 2 different floors from either side of the door if its closed...

how thick is the current wood? tile? using 1/4" 1/2" cement board or something else? DIY forum...
