Red Guard Vs Ditra
We use gypcrete with in floor heating. My tile installer has purposed to use Red Guard in place of Ditra Mat as a cost saver. What does anyone think of this practice?
We are placing slae and ceramic mainly. Thanks |

Re: Red Guard Vs DitraQuote:
1. If the RedGard is applied properly in the required mil-thickness it won't be any less expensive than DITRA and certainly won't replace DITRA's attributes. 2. Why not contact the Gypcrete manufacturer (Maxxon) and let them prescibe alternatives to DITRA and Noble CIS?
