Re-grout


has anyone in here re-grouted a restaurant kitchen floor, I do it every once and a while but I think I'm under charging,
5.00 sq ft remove old grout and re-grout

I've done residential kitchens at $4.50 sq.ft.
You're probably in the ballpark or a little low for commercial, at least here in Toronto.
BTW...It's one of my least favorite jobs

why are you regrouting?

why not use a grout colorant?

unless there are divets in grout, no need to remove and re-grout

and if there are cracks in grout, there probably is an expansion joint lacking

A restaurant KITCHEN? That's a really tough call and big shutdown IMHO. Commercial duty grease, water, wax is going to cause problems.

I would say it depends on the job and what you have to do. I have never done one and hope I don't have to.
