Re: Price For VCT?

Depending on where you're located, figure anywhere from $3-5/sf for labor only, assuming they're supplying the adhesive, flashpatch material, etc.

TWF = Thumb Wrestling Foundation whose trade stands for Nerve Growth Factor, I guess there trying to see who's nerve breaks first & breaks their thumbs

Seriously though, a penny a piece should prevent you from overcharging & still have money for a Happy Meal

Ok enough b.s. I just did a VCT job for around 550 sq. ft. total two large medical exam rooms. Included with the job is the surface prep belt sander, underlayment, adhesive, vct install, chaulk/install molding on wallboards, sponge mop cleaning, 2 coats of sealer s405/s430. Customer paid for material and it was delivered to office bldg. from start to finish 2 days, 1 man job. $1500.

$350? That seems pretty low considering there is a lot of surface prep and finishing labor involved. Do you not seal/finish your VCT and not install the molding on base/wallboard?

Isn't it considered price fixing, if we discuss pricing in an open group forum??

Measure the exterior of the foundation, then take the square footage, the square footage of the wall and ceiling and use this formula:
a+b) 2 = a 2 + 2ab + b 2

(a+b)(c+d) = ac + ad + bc + bd

a 2 - b 2 = (a+b)(a-b) (Difference of squares)

a 3 b 3 = (a b)(a 2 ab + b 2) (Sum and Difference of Cubes)

x 2 + (a+b)x + AB = (x + a)(x + b)

if ax 2 + bx + c = 0 then x = ( -b (b 2 - 4ac) ) / 2a (Quadratic Formula)

The number you come up with its your profit.

Good luck
