Pre finished wood floors

I am bidding a floor that is on a concrete slab. The application is going to be nail less and glue less, it is pre finished interlocking plank like laminate. I chose this cause of the cement and 7ft ceiling. The customer wants to put some kind electric mesh under the floor to help this under heated room. Does anyone no of a way to do this? I was told the floor could not be natural and had to be engineered only. Also we are using a heavy rubber base so Im worried about the overall thickness of materials by the top basement stair. How do you handle the transition? The stair hieght will be clumsy, no.

In regards to the heating, check out Nu Heat. Web site is all one word. They have a low voltage thermostat for under wood flooring. Though, not sure if it is for engineered only or can be used under any type of wood.

Also keep in mind that they will be drying out the wood. So a humidifier will be crutial.
