Plastic 4x4 Tiles
I've been in this house for about a year, and I'm about to start a ceramic counter and back splash.
I went to remove some of the old 4x4 tiles and found them to be plastic, my guess they went up in the 50s. or 60's. they looked like ceramic, but I couldnt understand why they wouldn't polish up. |

Re: Plastic 4x4 Tiles
That's a new one on me. Plastics were the new 'space age' thing back then and it wouldn't suprise me. I guess that they must be pretty good to have lasted this long and fooled you until you started to pick them up.
