Looks really seamless! Are you, carpet guys don't use heated seams anymore?, I had a carpet installer friend, after 20 years he got sick, the doctors believe it was chemical vapors from seaming..
Looks like you just glue it together...

I do still use a heat iron to melt the thermoplastic adhesive in the tape . there are new tools that are made to produce less smoke and odor but i refuse to use them . and its never about how expensive they are , just I DONT LIKE those tools. some carpets HAVE TO be done by hand .

On patterned carpet, the Kool Glide is much easier to use.

I use a hot melt iron most of the time, but the Kool Glide comes in handy some times. I have even used it on wool or wovens a few times. When hand sewing wasn't practical. Just another tool on the truck, whatever it takes to do the job the best I can.

I noticed your seam sealer was in a bottle , is it latex based? We started to use hot glue on all seams done with a heat iron with a special glue tip! Have u tried this? If so do u find the bottle better?

Don't know about Floormasta, but I use Kool Glide glue sticks. On the KG seams, it reactivates the seam glue, or so they say, and does make a good sealer. I used latex for years but thermo seal now. It is less apt to make a mess. IMO.

That tip was invented for berbers... Berber sux...

I spent half a day repairing some berber that a loop got caught and it pulled a whole row...

Did you know that the zig zag berbers are back? The rows zig zag about 2 inches. I hadn't seen any since the 80's.

Re: The Perfect Carpet Seam .. By ME !

this glue gun from orcon is one of my favorites for berbers, or carpets that unravel as soon as they are trimmed for seams. due to weak backings this is fast drying therefore allowing me to take my time and have better seams.. yes that was a latex sealer.
