Opinions On Laminate/Concret
This will be installed in a basement on concrete using 3-in1 underlayment and a 6 mil vapor barrier,,
I will be using either Pergo or Bruce laminate. What are you opnions on flooring over concrete as this is my 1st time installing over concrete and will also being going around a fireplace that is up about 8 inches and they want to put a insert in maybe this winter. The basement is dry with no water issues. Also would like a moisture test done,, can anyone point me in the right direction on who to call to have one performed,,I'm not finding much info Thanks and great forum Last edited by MwCar; 06-02-2008 at 11:06 AM. |

I've installed plenty of laminate over slabs using underlayment with built-in V.B., but we don't have basements here. If your basement is bone dry, I see no problem.
