Oiled Floor Help

Hello All,
I am having some difficulty with oil peeling in certain spots on my wide plank pine flooring. I did the installation and finishing myself. The upstairs flooring is done exactly the same as downstairs. I am getting some peeling in my master bedroom. The floors were sanded, oiled, stained, and oiled again. I used Behr Tung Oil over an oil stain. It is baffling me because the floor is fine upstairs. There is no chance that any contaminate on the floor prior to the oil application. Any tips or ideas for rectifying would be greatly appreciated!!
Thanks,
Tim

Moisture?

It sounds like a moisture issue. Sounds like your master bedroom is on the main floor? Are you over the waterheater, or damp basement. If there's nothing under or over the floors to cause it, then maybe you had a section of bum boards.

Could be:

Bad can of finish (unlikely)
Poor application (unlikely)
Wet wood when installed (likely)
Wet wood from moisture below, leak, leaky steam fitting, poorly trained dog (it happens), or
Cleaning person who used amonia bleach or something to clean the floor?

Dunno.... tell us more. Go Columbo.
