MUST remove carpet's underpad?

I’m replacing carpet with laminate. Do I HAVE to remove carpet's cushion/underpad or I can put laminate’s underlayment on the top of it?

Thanks.

You will void the warantee of your laminate ,first and foremost.

That is way too much cusion under a laminate floor it will be flexing and popping every time you walk on it,and eventually your edges of your planks will start to chip from all the movement.
