matching carpet to private label

I just got my first bid for a National Preservation company called Premier Asset Preservation. They sent me a list of specific carpet and vinyl they want or close to comparable as possible. Sounds like Home Depot names. CARPET: Alladin STYLE: Lookin' Good COLOR:Buckskin SKU #434-943

Vinyl: Armstrong STYLE: Caspian SKU # 675-108 #675-139 # 675-169.

I have been to the box stores and cant even find the stuff. Does anyone know what the hell this stuff is. I know the carpet is 30 ounce nylon. Please help if you can thanx

Usually the names on specs are mill names.
Home Depot has their own names.
Go to local flooring store to get prices.

Good luck. When I was in retail, every mom and pop and corner carpet store, private labeled everything.

Alladin, is a Mohawk brand.

Armstong vinyl will be easier, if you have seen the pattern.

A local retailer can probably get a hold of their Mohawk rep and have it cross referenced. If the rep is willing to do it. Mohawk in notorious for not provided much in the way of customer service.

Make your reps do the work. They'll do it if they want the job. IF it is private labeled stuff, they wont likely make money if it goes through another program.

Most likely they will still make the money no matter what program it is.
But I could be wrong when it comes to the big box stores, not sure if they have their own reps.

Typically the percentage is less. If they can "sell" standard line product to a dealer at a cost of their choosing, they can push the product into a higher commission level, thus paying for the work done. Worth a shot.

I didnt mean they wouldnt get paid. But typically, PL products are compensated in a different manner.
