Lumber Liquidator Opinions
Just wondering if anyone has any experience with Lumber liquidators, I just had a new one in the area. Wondering what others thought.

Re: Lumber Liquidator Opinions
I have actually had really good luck with their economy stuff (durawood) seemed to be milled very accurately and the finish seems very durable good assortment of lengths with more long and medium lengths than I expected.
On the other hand I have had some issues with their higher end product (Bellawood) some variance in the widths which obviously can contribute to gapping also the end joints where not always flush (high wood) definitely more culling out of material than with the durawood. That being said the select did have lots of long lengths and $5.29 for select teak seemed like a good price. |

Their bellawood product is milled like crap. Variances in the width of the boards like the above poster mentioned. They offer a 50 year warranty on the finish, but it doesen't take away from the fact, that the material used is garbage.
If your looking for great quality pre-finished flooring I suggest BR-111, and Mirage, but both are expensive. |

Re: Lumber Liquidator Opinions
LL products are not consistent;one day you may get a great product, the other time crap..because they are the middleman and broker of different manufacturers..they buy materials in Brazil,US from all over the world and get it prefinished..or buy prefinished materials, end of the line etc..my experience with them(through the customers who dealt with them) is terrible customer service..difficult returns or no returns..
Pricing is high, as a floor guy with good connections in the industry, I can get about 20% less than their prices for (same specie/size) a high quality material.. |

Re: Lumber Liquidator Opinions
Crap. If a customer asks me to install it. I will charge double because of the extra time. Cull out bad boards, warped boards, bad finish.
Why do you think it is so cheap to begin with? |
