I have had to fix more than a few DIY jobs, I used to feel sorry for them and try to cut them a break, now I just charge them whatever I feel like and it isn't cheap, I have bid job's so high in the past trying to run them off, but many times (Most) they will hire me without hesitation, I guess because they realize what a mess they made.

You must have a lot of patience or like the abuse you get by going over to the DIY section.

I especially love this logic from the last DIY poster...

Quote:
For putting concrete over the floor, first check the level of the floor and then apply the proper grade concrete over it. In this case, I would opt for the expensive kind, there are different kinds for sure.

Some people are so dense. Just makes me want to throw up my hands and kill myself. I guess you can lead a horse to water, but can't make him drink huh?

I wonder how long I will last.

Some guy asked about fixing his furnace with "Duck tape".

You can if you soak the duct tape in gasoline first, it helps to strengthen the bond between the tape and the metal

With out seeing it, I would be hard press to give you an exact formula but be very liberal with the gas application, the more the better

About 5 gallons should be sufficient. You won't be hiring one of those spendy contractors so, hell it'll be like you're making money!!

I can enjoy this thread without clicking the link. Now that's efficient.

Still waiting for siicone and coat hanger references though. They usually go hand in hand with duct tape.

Good Luck
Dave

If you did not read the link I provided, there is no way you can appreciate the humor.

I thought that all real men need are duct tape and wd40.
If it moves and shouldn't- Duct Tape
If it doesn't move and should- WD40

OK, I clicked and read. He's just going to keep asking until he gets the answer he wants. Might as well go ahead and do it. Then he can blame the bad advice he took.

He could reinforce the concrete with coat hangers. :>)

Good Luck
Dave

God bless you J, Wizard and anyone else who hangs over there and give advice. If I HAD to deal with hammer heads like that they drive me to drink.
