Installing tile on existing tile
I have a customer thats asking me to do a flooring job for them, here is the issue there is carpet glued down to a existing tile subfloor, owner wants me to do it the least expensive way possiable soi thought that would be to isntall the new porcelin tiles over the existing cermaic tiles but what is the exact procedure here do i need to sand the tile floor down will this even give a proper bond for the thinset, thanks in adavce

I am not a tile guy, but I think if you use mesh and thin set,it may work,let 's see what tilemasters say.

i dont understand where is the joke here and what is so scary, i am supplying my customer with diffrent options,i gave them a option, the proper way to demo the existing tile and install new tile over the existing concret pad or to supply a less expensive alternative so i dont lose the job but as long as they have both options, if i dont give them options another contractor will, so again what is the profesional procedure here from my research it is my undertsnading to sand or use a stripper to remove the glue, then the tiles need to be scouffed to allow the thinset to adhere to the tile subfloor,

The above is the key. The professional procedure is to demo, level and lay new.
Cheap options are for hacks, explain this to the HO. Do it right or don't do it at all.
