Why the heck would I say that!!!! I am a hard working tradesman. I did not say easy! I said not as hard as people that haven't done it think it is.

You definately do NOT want to start each board at the same place, as a floating floor is designed to expand and contract, and as such you would lose joint integrity if the were all aligned. Each board should be offset at least 4 inches. Generally position your borads along the longest wall first, and the last piece that you cut, use the cut off piece to start the next row.
