installing carpet onto stairs

My landlord has asked that we build some stairs and lay carpet on them. Laying carpet isn't really our thing so I thought I'd ask the pros .

What's the best procedure to go about in stretching carpet over stairs?
...and what tools will we need?

Thanks,
Cindy

Hire a pro. Its a minimum charge and a safety issue.
By the time you rent the tools, buy the needed supplies your better off in the long run having a professional doing it.

Telling someone how to install carpet on stairs over the internet would be like telling someone how to perform an appendectomy online if ya get my drift.

Why is your landlord making you do work on his place anyhow?
