I'm currently getting $ 6.00 sq. ft. for an average floor, standard sander job. I go up from there.

It is a basic question that has TONS of variables.
If I said 10.00 per sq foot would you have thanked me when you are way off your competitors and cannot find work?

Maybe I should not have been as blunt and I should have said "you need to ask and study based on your own area, and also study the variables that make up a bid before you decide on how much you will charge or pay"

Teetor did answer your question although I do not feel you are any closer to the answer you really need.
