Help with a transition to stairs

I have a few different ideas but, none seem to stand out as a really good option.

Basically a tiled front entry way that has stairs that go to the basement.
Stairs will be capeted. What are my choices for transition for that top step? Basic floor build up with sub-floor and then 1/4 denshield and then tile on that. Can the carpet guy do something with this, do I wrap that small face with the floor tile and let the carpet guy tuck the carpet behind the lip? Is there a product out there for this that I might have not seen?

Thanks guys.
