Hardwood underlayment

I will be installing some strand woven bamboo that will span multiple rooms. The subfloor is 3/4" OSB glued and nailed to the 16" joists. Half the floor has a 1/4" luan underlayment, the other half does not. I plan on installing a 1/4" underlayment under the half without to keep the transistions between rooms smooth and void of any reducers. So the question is weather to install more luan or if I could use 1/4" OSB which will reduce the cost. Or if there is any better method to keep the transistions smooth. Thoughts?

Maybe rip up the existing luan? I don't know about the OSB... If I were to add, I would add the same as what's there already (luan). I would rip it out though. Are there any stairs to in the room?

They make ¼" OSB? Never seen it. What would its normal use be for?

If you can find it, it should work.
