Hardwood Nailed To Ply Glued To Slab. MASTIC TYPE?
If I install a nailed solid floor over a slab, I will install it upon a 3/4" ply subfloor. I will adhere the ply to the slab using KARNACK Wood Block Mastic and Remington powder shot nails. The mastic comes in 5 gal cans and looks like black roofing tar. I will 1/4" knotch trowel it to the entire slab surface. Its about $45 a can.
My distributor is out of it and when I called Karnak the told me the next closest retailer is about 1 1/2 to 2 hrs away. Trying to eliminate a four hour ride and wasting half a day, does anyone use any other brand that I can look into? Thanks Last edited by brianosaur; 10-26-2006 at 02:34 PM. |
