So basically, save the WD40

After the WD40 advise, I am shocked that you didn't recommend a waffle head hammer.

Dude....you should be embarrassed of yourself....please refrain from giving any further advice...
But I will give you one point for making me laugh, I needed that!!!

Welcome Tim and I must agree. Carefully remove the damaged area and reinstall new.

I had one real bad experience with an air sled so I went back to moving the fridge over masonite with a hand truck. Works every time.

Re: Hardwood Floor Indented Please Help

Well, I was fixing a water damage floor in a condo. The job was to remove and replace a high quality engineered floor (Karrs American Cherry click lock system). The fridge was gigantic and the air sled was only rated for 600 pounds. I got it out ok but reinstalling I dented the floor and had to replace all the new boards I had just installed. Karrs is not cheap.

So, I'll try anything once and so I tried it and can't afford booboos like that so it's back to Masonite and a hand truck. Actually, try to have the homeowner do all the removing and moving of furniture and appliances so I don't have to.

And so ends the saga of how Donedat got his name.

Re: Hardwood Floor Indented Please Help

Is it that hard to replace a couple of boards in the floor? Geez, punch a hole through the finish. This is aluminum oxide we're talking about, not polyurethane.

Next time maybe use masonite or plywood to push the fridge back into place. That or a airsled though that can be tricky too. I prefer the masonite.

All I can say is when they are upside down the P.H. looks like tooth paste. It really doesn't taste like toothpaste though

Maybe you could try the WD-40 and the hammer trick for the wrinkles?

I guess you didn't read the warning on the P.H.tube, it says do not take orally!
