Granite Tile On Countertop Help!?!

Hello Everyone,

Our next project is to install Granite Tile (12 x 12) on a kitchen countertop (Formica) and was wondering what everyone else does. Last time we did the project we used Harid's Backer-Board and was wondering if that is what everyone else does or do you lay the Granite Tile directly on the Formica? Any suggestions on this matter would be great seeing we have 3 jobs lined up for the same work in the coming weeks...

Sorry Fellas, I didn't realize the other section under the flooring dedicated to Ceramic Tile and Stone and my question is better suited I suppose for them. Sorry about that. I'm new at this board and still learning where to post my questions.
