Forgetful Customer

I get a call to do a restretch, of course I ask the usual questions, can you give me a general idea of how large the area is, how much furniture is involved, etc etc. Okay The woman says it is a good size living room with a hallway, a couple of couches and a small table. Okay no problem, I should be able to handle this myself.

I get to the job, and what do I see, Couches, a table, desks, end tables, and what is this? A giant wall unit, about 10 feet long 6 feet high about 2 -3 feet deep, packed full of electronics, gadgets, breakables collectables etc. It looked to be assembled in the room with about 15 seperate pieces. How did the customer fail to mention this? She says I thought you could just work around it.

Re: Forgetful Customer

I know how you feel, bud'.

Hope you have recovered by now

But seriously, these are the times that good salesmanship helps to get more money from the customer, while maintaining trust.

The above paragraph is grammatically incorrect, but the first cup of java hasn't kicked in, and I can't be bothered to correct it.
This is not indicative of how I run my jobs - by the time I start working, I'm awake!
