Floor Sander

I'm looking at a Silverline Pro 8 drum sander with cord, 3 adapter plugs (dryer, stove, alligator clips) 30 amp inline breaker, dustbag. Also Silverline 8"(?) edger with cord, dustbag, disk cutter. The ad says excellant cond. 4,000.00 Is this a fare price or should I haggle down (ad said, both new = 5500.00) about 5 years old. What do you think.

What are you looking to do start sanding and finishing floors for a living or an occasional floor? The edger is a good edger, the sander is a light duty drum sander and its not a belt . Belt sanders are a little easier to use , im not sure if that sander has a split drum or if its a rental type that uses the tube sand paper. I guess what Im saying its not a bad deal , but may not be what want. justin
