Flexitec vinyl flooring

someone I know well is looking at a flooring sold under the Flexitec name, it's the Canyon line and has a thicker backing on it. I've done pleny of glue down applications of sheet flooring but have not tried the thicker padded products. Can anyone comment on how this type of product might hold up to moving say a table around (dragging the leg) or a refridgerator? I'm curious if it's MORE susceptible to gouges because of how it is applied.

Whick leads me to my next question-how is this type of flooring applied (kitchen setting)? If it's a stapled application, is that 'better' then a glue down application?
