Finish Hardwood Floors

I need some info from the pro's who do it everyday. I have an opportunity to bid a job that has mutiple projects involved. The part of the bid I need help with is how do you charge for sanding down hardwood and re-finishing it. Is this typically by the square foot or more or less throw it into the bid as to what it is worth to me. I would like to hear some opinions and hopefully those who have done this can give me a base square footage price or at least something to go off of.

Depending on what part of the country you are in 2.25-3.50 a sft. Usually stain is a little more.

Re: Finish Hardwood Floors

Thanks for the welcome Wink. And to clarify I am in no way discouraged. I have been coming to this forum for awhile and just now started to post. I understand that pricing questions can be hard to answer. I just needed a starting point and I will do some more due dilligence before I bid it. The fact of the matter is if things were not so slow right now I probably would walk away from this part of the job but I need to pay the bills.

I read the post from Brian on this subject after my post and completely agree with him.

In closing to all that read this: THIS SITE IS AWESOME and I plan on being around for awhile.
