Question

Engineered Hardwood Glue Down Repair…

I have been in tile for years, but I have recently started doing wood. Mainly small jobs, but I have been getting a lot of calls about repairs. I would like to start doing repairs, because there doesn't seem to be many people who do repairs. Does anyone have any input about repairs for glue down.

Not allot of money in repair work, usually T&M.
You can use repair work to promote your business, like advertising.
Most of the floors you're repairing generally are installation related. Leading to and promoting the disease in the industry, sub standard installations. The yobers installing these sub standard installations couldn't even do a good install, you think they could actually correct one not even being able to do it right the first time?
It takes a qualified installer to get it right the first time, it takes a experienced qualified installer, that is also a floor mechanic to fix one.

Good luck to you.
If you have any questions leave your email, and I'll get back to you.

After removing the damaged plank, be sure to remove every micron of debris/ glue/ wood chunks from the area. It is time consuming but worth the time spent. Once you have applied fresh glue, an errant piece of wood in the groove, for example, can ruin your whole day.
