I have inspected a few, using that neoprene rubber underlayment.

Bad ju-ju, right there! Covering it up like that creates rH build up under that. like Jerry said, Greenhouseing.

I bet when it's uncovered, there is going to be peaked end joints if that is an engineered. If it is a thick saw wear layer, it will see cupping.

The floors are uncovered at the end of the day, & it allows air to flow over the floor during the night.

I have tried many a challange but I would not touch that job with a 20 foot pole. I was using BB gluing solids 10 years ago catching all kinds of flack from others but there is noway I am touching this job. Good luck
