engineered flooring fastened by staples

ok So i am about to do a 1/2 " engineered wood floor I researched the manufacturers literature and they recommend the bostitch floor runner which drives an 18 gauge staple correct me if i am wrong but isnt that the size of my little brad nailer . My worry is this so i staple this floor with what is basically brad nails how in the heck is that ever going to stay down? I have a cleatnailer for my regular 3/4 wood floors and most of my floors here are engineered glue down. Any feed back would be great. thank you

The manufacturer usually gets it right. If you still are not sold, call them up, speak to a rep.
