Re: Creating Seamless Waterprood Floor Patio Deck

I couldn't tell you the number of times I have been asked to make a flat roof into a patio, and have no idea how. So many wasted leads.

Well, waste them no more Grumpy. New Technoligy allows for the use of Single component Hydrophobic Elastomers that in 30 minutes @ 76 degrees are dry enough for next application. ! 1/2 Hrs open to traffic. Material cost is around $1 Sq Ft usualy sells for $6-$8 up. Requirements, rollers, brushes and waterproofing detail knowledge. Heres the kicker, it is VOC free and water based.

LOL your speaking japanees to me. hydrophobic? VOC?

It's fairly obvious I'm more of a sloped roofer than a flat roofer.

Hydrophobic Coatings have no moisture absortion, Hydrophillic Coatings do. Now there are Aromatic which are not UV stable and Aliphatic that are UV stable. Think of the Aliphatic as the Clear Coat on your Car but harder and ability to stretch applied thicker.
